Death in belonging

I am among the waves mighty and strong. They have carried me past many lands and seas. The journey long and confusing seems to at last draw near to end. I have washed upon numerous islands only to be tossed back into the sea. This time I shall root myself to earth. I shall stretch my being down towards the bedrock. I will pour out my pains, hopes, and dreams. I will become one with the land. To be uprooted would mean death yet in my rooting I at last find a life I can happily lose.
