In Search of Self

To find identity in another is to be a slave to that other. To resign to a life of misery and powerlessness. We have been formed by another, loved by another, but we must be the ones to choose who we are in no relation to another. In ones own internal solitude identity is hidden away. Identity is muddied by closeness. The question must be asked who am I. Not in connection to family or friends. Disconnected from jobs and careers. Who are you in your nakedness?
